Well it does depends a little on what your local business is, and of course what it is that you are selling, If you are selling real estate for an example then the good news is yes it can, and very much so too, on the other hand, if you are the local pizza shop it probably won’t help you much internationally (although it will help locally), unless you are prepared to travel to deliver your pizza.
The good news though is that Google are already starting to help local businesses all over the world, mainly in the English speaking parts at that moment, but when this work is complete then the other countries will benefit as well.
